The Chapter Changes

Life is ever-changing, whether we like it or not.  I'm learning that the key is found within our attitude.  Adapt, grow and stay flexible?  Perhaps we'll thrive amid these changes -- even changes we didn't seek out or want.  Resist and become stubborn?  We risk losing our joy.  We may find ourselves living life bitter, blindsided and lonely.  (No thank you!)

Admittedly, my chapter has recently changed in *major* ways.  It isn't easy, but I am up for the challenge.

The girls have grown into beautiful, confident and accomplished women who are living life on their own terms.  'Mothering' has been relegated to spoiling a 10 year old yellow lab.  Career?  At mid-life, I've bid adieu to William & Mary and am in the process of reinventing it all.

Wedded bliss?  Yes, I still love and adore him.  We're working through messy life issues like aging, elderly parents, career shifts, relocation and right-sizing our lives.

For now, life is a dance.  Sometimes sweet and slow, then unexpectedly fast.  Sometimes it's delirious and suddenly painful like a mosh pit, replete with an unexpected kick to the head.  Shake off any setbacks and maintain the right attitude, to keep moving forward.

The chapter changes and a new journey begins.
